After a bad deal made by his best friend, a Kung Fu fan boy must fight the neighborhood gang in hopes to impress his crush and survive the night. Filmed on location in Hollywood, California, 'Takeout' is directed by Gedaly Guberek and written/produced by Ryan McCrory. Bloodline | Proof of Concept

"Investigating the disappearance of his partner, Memphis Detective Morrow is pulled deeper into the world of the Fu Jia Triad." Bloodline, directed by Brandon Russell, is co-written, produced, and stars actors Derik Ha and Ryan McCrory. This short was made as a Proof of Concept to introduce viewers into our fictionalized version of Memphis run by a Chinese Triad. Selected as a Remi Award Winner at the WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival.

Space Cowboy 2020 | Remastered

A remaster of our Cowboy Bebop fan film from 2020, 'Space Cowboy'. This was Blue Lion Pictures' second short film and after a lot of feedback we decided to give it another round of editing as we continue to improve our process. See if you can spot the differences!

Fist of Fortune

A martial artist stumbles across what he believes is a magic fortune cookie fortune. Following the fortune’s request, he attempts to perform acts of kindness by any means necessary. This turns a typical evening in downtown Memphis into quite an unusual one as he learns that not everything is as it seems. Written by Ryan McCrory and Sisa Wang, this Kung Fu Action/Comedy was produced by Blue Lion Pictures, Memphis Museworks, Millennium Media Label, and Good Fortune Co.

Space Cowboy: Scarlet Tears | A Cowboy Bebop Fan Film

This film was our follow up to our 2020 Cowboy Bebop fan film, Space Cowboy. Space Cowboy: Scarlet Tears picks up right where the previous film left off. We follow Spike and Faye as they face off against the Red Dragon Crime Syndicate and Spike comes face to face with their leader, Vicious. This film was Blue Lion Pictures second collaboration with Mason Studios.

Shaolin Blues

Blue Lion Pictures' first Kung Fu action film, 'Shaolin Blues'. "Using his uncle's teachings, an unreliable martial artist must salvage his relationship while facing off with Memphis's number one gang." Inspired by our favorite Kung Fu movies but with a Memphis twist. This short film was made in collaboration with the Bei Shaolin Kung Fu Institute and has been featured in international film festivals.

Space Cowboy | A Cowboy Bebop Fan Film

In this Cowboy Bebop fan film from writer/director Ryan McCrory, Spike wanders a familiar city trying to forget the past. However, the past has not forgotten him. Confronted by the friends of a previous bounty head, Spike must face the consequences of the cowboy lifestyle he’s chosen. Blue Lion Pictures joined forces with Mason Studios on this film's production.

No Angels In The Shape of Men

The award-winning short film, 'No Angels in the Shape of Men'. "On a young family's journey toward a better life, the father is haunted by sacrifices made along the way. When livelihood is on the line, do you dare step outside the law?" From filming in the freezing cold out in the middle of nowhere to submitting to film festivals during a global pandemic, Blue Lion Pictures' first short film overcame a lot of adversity. The film was shot on location in Coldwater, MS and all pre/post production was done in Memphis, TN.
