Bloodline, directed by Brandon Russell, is co-written, produced, and stars actors Derik Ha and Ryan McCrory. This short was made as a Proof of Concept to introduce viewers into our fictionalized version of Memphis run by a Chinese Triad. Selected as a Remi Award Winner at the WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival.

A martial artist stumbles across what he believes is a magic fortune cookie fortune. Following the fortune’s request, he attempts to perform acts of kindness by any means necessary. This turns a typical evening in downtown Memphis into quite an unusual one as he learns that not everything is as it seems. Written by Ryan McCrory and Sisa Wang, this Kung Fu Action/Comedy was produced by Blue Lion Pictures, Memphis Museworks, Millennium Media Label, and Good Fortune Co.
This film was our follow up to our 2020 Cowboy Bebop fan film, Space Cowboy. Space Cowboy: Scarlet Tears picks up right where the previous film left off. We follow Spike and Faye as they face off against the Red Dragon Crime Syndicate and Spike comes face to face with their leader, Vicious. This film was Blue Lion Pictures second collaboration with Mason Studios.

Blue Lion Pictures joined forces with Mason Studios on this film's production.

From filming in the freezing cold out in the middle of nowhere to submitting to film festivals during a global pandemic, Blue Lion Pictures' first short film overcame a lot of adversity. The film was shot on location in Coldwater, MS and all pre/post production was done in Memphis, TN.
